Autoprinter

Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-04-24

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Autoprinter (the "Service"), provided by Econocraft Materials LLC ("Econocraft," "we," "us," or "our"). By installing, accessing, or using the Service, you ("Merchant" or "you") agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Autoprinter enables Shopify merchants to automate the printing of shipping labels, packing slips, invoices, pick slips, return slips, and gift receipts. The Service consists of a Shopify embedded application and optional companion software: a macOS Desktop Utility for local automatic printing and a Chrome Extension for shipping-label detection. The companion components are needed only for the specific automation features that depend on them. The Service reads Shopify order data using the read_orders, read_products, read_fulfillments, and read_shipping scopes, makes no write calls to the Shopify Admin API, renders documents on the merchant's behalf, and — when companion components are installed — routes print jobs to the merchant's paired local printers.

2. Account Eligibility

To use the Service you must have an active Shopify store and authority to install apps on that store. By installing Autoprinter you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. Pricing, Billing, and Trial

  • Free tier — template editing and manual printing, at no charge.
  • Workstation plan — $10 per month, includes one paired workstation with companion software (Desktop Utility and Chrome Extension).
  • Unlimited plan — $29 per month, includes unlimited paired workstations.

Both paid tiers include a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required to start the trial. At the end of the trial, the selected plan begins billing on its normal monthly cycle unless you cancel first.

All charges are collected through the Shopify Billing API. Econocraft does not receive, store, or process payment-card details. Taxes, where applicable, are handled through Shopify.

4. Refunds

Refund terms are set out in our Refund Policy and are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service in furtherance of fraud or any unlawful activity.
  • Use the Service to create, print, or distribute fraudulent shipping labels, fake invoices, misleading return documents, or any other fulfillment document that misrepresents the contents, origin, destination, or carrier of a shipment.
  • Resell, sublicense, or make the Service available to third parties as a service in its own right.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Desktop Utility binary or any other component of the Service, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law notwithstanding this restriction.
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent the Service's pricing tiers, workstation caps, or billing gates.
  • Send abusive traffic to the Service, including denial-of-service attacks, credential-stuffing, or attempts to exceed published rate limits.
  • Interfere with the integrity of the Service, including by probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of any system or network.
  • Use the Service to process data you have no legal right to process.
  • Use, export, re-export, or access the Service in violation of United States export-control or sanctions laws, or for the benefit of any person or territory subject to applicable sanctions.

We may suspend or terminate your access for any violation of these Acceptable Use terms.

6. Merchant Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of any credentials or device pairing tokens issued to you.
  • Ensuring that your use of the Service, and the content you process through it, complies with applicable law, Shopify's merchant agreements, and any third-party agreements that apply to you.
  • Obtaining any consents required from your own customers before processing their data through the Service.
  • Keeping your Shopify OAuth installation active. Uninstallation ends the Service.
  • Ensuring you have all rights needed to upload and use any logos, templates, text, images, or other content you submit to Autoprinter, including any trademarks or copyrighted material.

7. Intellectual Property

Econocraft and its licensors retain all right, title, and interest in and to the Service, including all software, designs, text, graphics, and trademarks. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Econocraft grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Service during the subscription period.

You retain all right, title, and interest in and to your Shopify order data, merchant content, templates you author, and any logos or other content you upload. You grant Econocraft a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, copy, process, render, transmit, display, and print that content solely to provide, secure, support, and improve the Service for you.

8. Uptime

Econocraft targets 99.5% monthly uptime on a best-effort basis. This target is a goal, not a guaranteed service level. The Service is not subject to any service-level agreement, downtime credit, or downtime refund.

9. Support

Econocraft provides best-effort email support during United States business hours (Arizona time, Monday through Friday, excluding United States federal holidays) at garrett@econocraftmaterials.com or support@autoprinter.app. Response times are commercially reasonable and are not guaranteed.

10. Warranty Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ECONOCRAFT AND ITS LICENSORS AND SUPPLIERS DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING, USAGE, OR TRADE PRACTICE. ECONOCRAFT DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, THAT OPERATION WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT THE SERVICE OR ANY SERVERS MAKING IT AVAILABLE ARE FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ECONOCRAFT AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, LICENSORS, AND SUPPLIERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST DATA, LOST GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND WHETHER OR NOT ECONOCRAFT HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

ECONOCRAFT'S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL FEES PAID BY YOU TO ECONOCRAFT UNDER THESE TERMS IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

12. Indemnification

Each party (the "Indemnifying Party") will defend the other party (the "Indemnified Party") against any third-party claim alleging that content or materials provided by the Indemnifying Party and used in connection with the Service infringe or misappropriate that third party's intellectual property rights, and will pay any damages finally awarded or amounts agreed in a settlement approved by the Indemnifying Party. This obligation is conditioned on the Indemnified Party: (a) giving prompt written notice of the claim; (b) giving the Indemnifying Party sole control of the defense and settlement; and (c) providing reasonable cooperation at the Indemnifying Party's expense.

For Econocraft, "content or materials" means the Service itself. For you, "content or materials" means your order data, templates, logos, and any other content you submit to the Service.

This Section states each party's exclusive remedy for third-party intellectual-property infringement claims.

13. Term and Termination

These Terms take effect when you install the Service and remain in effect until terminated.

  • Termination by you. You may terminate these Terms at any time by uninstalling Autoprinter from your Shopify admin.
  • Termination by Econocraft for convenience. Econocraft may terminate these Terms for any reason on 30 days' written notice.
  • Termination for breach. Econocraft may terminate these Terms and suspend or disable access to the Service immediately if you breach any provision of these Terms, including the Acceptable Use provisions.
  • Effect of termination. On termination, your license to the Service ends. Econocraft will purge your data in accordance with the Data Retention Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 7, 10, 11, 12, 16, 17, and 18) will survive.

14. Modifications to the Service

Econocraft may modify, add, or remove features of the Service at any time. Where a modification materially reduces functionality you rely on, Econocraft will provide 30 days' advance notice via autoprinter.app or by email.

15. Changes to These Terms

Econocraft may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted at autoprinter.app at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to Section 17 (Dispute Resolution), the exclusive venue for any action arising out of or relating to these Terms is the state and federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona, and the parties consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

17. Dispute Resolution

Informal negotiation

Before filing any formal claim, the parties will attempt to resolve the dispute informally by sending a written description of the dispute to the other party's contact address. For Econocraft, notice is given at garrett@econocraftmaterials.com. The parties agree to negotiate in good faith for at least 30 days following delivery of the notice.

Binding arbitration for disputes over $10,000

If the dispute cannot be resolved informally and the amount in controversy exceeds $10,000, the dispute will be resolved by final and binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. Arbitration will be conducted in Maricopa County, Arizona, by a single arbitrator. The arbitrator's award is final and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction. AAA administrative fees and arbitrator compensation will be allocated under the AAA Commercial Arbitration Rules and applicable law. Nothing in this Section limits any statutory right a party may have to recover attorneys' fees or costs. This arbitration agreement is made pursuant to a transaction involving interstate commerce and is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act, 9 U.S.C. § 1 et seq.

Small claims preserved

Notwithstanding the above, either party may bring an individual action in small-claims court for any dispute within that court's jurisdictional limit.

No class actions

The parties agree to resolve disputes only on an individual basis. The parties waive any right to bring or participate in a class action, collective action, consolidated proceeding, or other representative proceeding. If this class-action waiver is held unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim must proceed in court on an individual basis; no class or representative arbitration may occur without both parties' express written consent.

18. General

  • Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Data Processing Agreement, and Data Retention Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Econocraft regarding the Service.
  • Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
  • No waiver. A party's failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of its right to do so later.
  • Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without Econocraft's prior written consent. Econocraft may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
  • Force majeure. Neither party is liable for delays or failures caused by events outside its reasonable control.
  • Notices. Notices to Econocraft must be sent to garrett@econocraftmaterials.com. Notices to you will be sent to the email address associated with your Shopify installation.
  • Relationship of the parties. The parties are independent contractors. These Terms do not create any partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship.
