Billing FAQ
On this page
Autoprinter plans differ by monthly order allowance. Every plan includes the full printing workflow; Unlimited also includes Priority Support. Charges go through your Shopify account.
Plans and prices#
| Plan | Price | Orders per calendar month |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 50 |
| Basic | $10/month | 500 |
| Pro | $30/month | 2,500 |
| Unlimited | $100/month | Unlimited |
Every plan includes unlimited custom templates, Print Rules, Label Sources, and Print Stations; all five document types; branding; Print Chain; automatic document printing; and automatic shipping-label printing. There are no separate template or device limits.
Paid plans include a 14-day free trial. There is no annual plan today.
What counts toward my order allowance?#
The meter counts distinct Shopify orders processed for queued printing in the current calendar month. Multiple documents, copies, or captured labels for the same order count as one order that month.
Reprinting an order already counted in the same month does not use another order. If you queue that order again in a later month, it counts toward that month's allowance.
Browser-only document previews and the Print menu's combined Print Chain preview do not consume the queued-printing allowance. Creating or editing templates does not consume it either.
When does the counter reset?#
At the start of each calendar month in your store's timezone. For example, a store using America/Phoenix resets at midnight Arizona time on the 1st.
This order counter is separate from Shopify's subscription billing cycle. Changing plans does not reset the number of orders already counted this month.
What happens at the limit?#
Autoprinter shows usage warnings at 50% and 90% and sends a warning email at 90%. At the limit:
- New orders cannot create queued print jobs. Blocked automatic-printing events and label captures do not appear as waiting jobs in Print History.
- Jobs already queued can continue printing. Orders already counted this month can still be reprinted without using another order.
- Browser-only previews and browser printing remain available.
Upgrade from Plan & Billing, or wait for the monthly counter to reset, to process additional orders. Missed orders are not automatically replayed after either change. Print those orders again yourself, and recapture any missing shipping labels from Shopify.
See Print History to distinguish a waiting or failed job from an order that never entered the queue.
How do I change plans?#
Open Plan & Billing, choose the plan you want, and approve the subscription in Shopify. Review Shopify's confirmation screen for the charge and billing details before approving.
Upgrading increases your monthly allowance. Downgrading lowers it but keeps your templates, rules, devices, and settings in place. Nothing is archived or unpaired. If this month's usage already exceeds the new allowance, new orders are blocked until the next reset or another upgrade.
How does the free trial work?#
Basic, Pro, and Unlimited each offer a 14-day trial. You approve the subscription through Shopify; Autoprinter does not collect a separate credit card. Review the trial end date in Plan & Billing and Shopify's approval screen.
The paid subscription continues after the trial unless you cancel. To stay on Free without a paid charge, cancel the paid plan before the trial ends. Free is an ongoing plan, not a time-limited trial.
Can I cancel anytime?#
Yes. In Plan & Billing, click Cancel paid plan on the Free card. A successful cancellation returns you to Free immediately and preserves your setup.
For this in-app cancellation, Autoprinter asks Shopify to issue a prorated credit for the unused subscription period. This is a billing credit, not a promise of a cash refund. Shopify controls how it appears on your account. See Shopify's cancellation documentation.
Uninstalling also cancels future recurring charges, but it does not guarantee a prorated refund. Current-cycle charges may still appear. See Uninstall + Reinstall.
Can I get a refund?#
The Refund Policy sets the exact terms. Within 14 days of a paid charge, you can request a prorated refund for a technical issue that materially prevents printing and remains unresolved after a reasonable support effort. Requests outside that window are considered case by case.
Email support@autoprinter.app with your shop domain, charge date and amount, issue description, and any error messages or support correspondence. Approved refunds or credits are processed through Shopify's billing tools. No refund is needed for uncharged trial usage.
A charge looks wrong, or I need billing help#
Click Need help? inside Autoprinter to open Contact support, or email support@autoprinter.app. Include the charge ID from your Shopify bill and explain what looks wrong.
For the full terms, read the Terms of Service, Refund Policy, and Privacy Policy.
