Print orders in bulk

Print paperwork for many Shopify orders at once: every packing slip for today's orders, a batch of invoices, or one pick slip covering the lot. There are two ways, depending on whether you want to look first or just print.

Send a batch straight to your printers#

1. In the Shopify orders list, tick the orders you want.
2. Choose More actions → Auto Print Chain.

Autoprinter runs your Print Chain for each order and sends the documents to your Print Station. Each order gets only the documents that apply to it. When it finishes you see what was queued and what was skipped, and why.

This needs a Print Station and a Print Chain. See the Setup Guide. Each order counts once toward your monthly allowance, no matter how many documents it prints.

Preview a batch and print from your browser#

1. Tick the orders, then choose Print → Autoprinter.
2. Under What would you like to print?, pick one:
   • Use Print Chain builds one combined preview with every order's documents, in order.
   • A single document type, such as Packing Slip, builds a preview of just that document for every order.
   • Pick Slip builds one picking list for the whole selection. See Pick slips.
3. Check the preview, click Open in browser if you want it in its own tab, and print with Cmd/Ctrl + P.

Browser printing needs nothing installed and never counts toward your monthly allowance.

Choosing the template for a batch#

When you pick a single document type, Autoprinter chooses a template for each order:

• Use Print Rules gives each order the template your Print Rules choose. Orders that match no rule get your default template. A badge shows which rule or default was used.
• Only print orders with matching rule leaves out the orders that matched no rule. Use it to print just your gift orders, or just your wholesale orders, from a mixed selection. Untick it to include every order with the default template.
• Or manually override and print a single template below lets you pick one template for the whole batch, ignoring rules.

On a single order the picker works the same way: it shows the template your rules chose, marked Print Rule or Default Template, and you can click any other template to switch before printing.

Tips#

• Reprinting is free. An order already counted this month does not count again.
• Something missing from the batch? Open Print History. Every queued document is listed there with its status. Browser previews are not listed, because they never enter the queue.
