Branding and tax ID

Set your logos, accent color, and brand intensity in Settings → Branding, and your tax ID in Settings → Store information. Your built-in templates inherit these choices, so you can update your documents in one place. The Language and format card below Branding sets the dates, prices, addresses, and headings on your printed documents.

Logos and colors#

Autoprinter picks up your Shopify Brand when you first install. Use Re-sync from Shopify at the top of the Branding card to pull later logo and color changes, or edit them directly. Re-sync asks you to confirm first. It updates only what your Shopify Brand includes and leaves your brand intensity as it is.

• Default logo: used on packing slips, invoices, and return slips.
• Square logo: used on gift receipts, with the default logo as a fallback.
• Accent color: choose a color with the picker or enter a hex value such as #1A5276. The brand intensity previews update as you edit.

Each logo shows a preview of the image itself. Choose Change, or Add logo when there is none, to paste a link to a PNG, JPG, or SVG; the preview updates as you type, and Done closes the field. If the preview says Can't show image, check that the link opens the image.

Choose Save in the save bar to keep your changes, or Discard to return to your saved choices. Reset to neutral restores near-black ink; save to apply it.

Brand intensity#

Click a preview to choose how much color appears in your built-in documents:

• Subtle: color highlights titles, order numbers, and totals. The rest keeps its original appearance.
• Standard: adds colored table headers, section rules, totals borders, and priority badges.
• Bold: adds a full-color header band and a tinted footer. Gift receipts use a centered header; pick slips keep an operational header without a logo or filled footer.

Existing stores start on Subtle. New installs start on Standard. You can change this at any time.

To use a different level for one document, open its built-in template editor and go to Styling → Brand intensity. Choose Use store setting to follow your shop-wide choice. Turn off Use store colors for neutral ink on that template. Your preview updates before you save.

Thermal label documents use shorter header bands. Monochrome label and receipt printers cannot reproduce your accent color; check the contrast on the actual paper. The Roll samples use black on white and grayscale logos. Check the template preview with your usual order before printing.

Sample templates#

Sample designs use your store colors for their colored highlights while keeping their layout. Intensity levels do not change sample compositions. Neutral designs and gradients keep their original look. If your accent is neutral, samples retain their original palettes.

Your own custom templates need the logo and tax ID variables in their HTML and var(--brand-accent) in their CSS to use these settings; see the template variable reference.

Tax ID#

Enter an EIN, VAT number, ABN, or other business tax ID in the Tax ID field of the Store information card, next to Address. It appears in invoice and return-slip footers. Leave it blank to hide that line.

The same Store information card, above Branding, holds your company name, address, phone, email, and website. Its Re-sync from Shopify button replaces those fields with your current Shopify details after you confirm. Your tax ID doesn't change.

Language and format#

The Language and format card, directly below Branding, sets how your printed documents read for your customers:

• Dates: 06/10/2026 for the United Kingdom or 6.10.2026 for Germany, instead of the US style 10/6/2026.
• Prices: the right currency symbol, separators, and position, such as £1,234.50 or 1.234,50 €.
• Addresses: each address is laid out the way its destination country expects, with the country name in your document language.
• Headings: built-in templates print headings such as "Packing Slip" and "Ship To", and their default text, in English, French, German, Spanish, Dutch, or Italian.

Pick one option under Language and region. The preview below it shows a document title, an order date, an address, and a total in that format before you save. Choose Save in the save bar to apply it to every document.

• Custom templates keep your wording. Their dates, prices, and percentages follow this setting; the text you wrote stays exactly as written. A custom template that builds addresses from separate fields keeps its own layout; use the address lines variable to follow each country's layout. See Template variables.
• New stores start in their country's format. Autoprinter reads your store's country from Shopify, and the card shows Matched to your store when your setting matches it.
• English is available for every country. After the main English regions, the English group lists every other country, so a store in Turkey can print English headings with Turkish dates and prices.
• Existing stores keep the current format until you choose. English (United States), current format prints exactly as before, and you can switch back to it at any time. Stores outside the United States see a reminder on the Home page until they choose a format or dismiss it.
